Rowan University, the National Aerospace Research & Technology Park (NARTP), and the Atlantic County Economic Alliance (ACEA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to form a statewide and national consortium focused on advancing aerospace technology, safety, and workforce development. The agreement positions the three organizations as founding members tasked with building a coalition of universities, industry leaders, nonprofits, and government agencies to drive research, innovation, and training in fields such as artificial intelligence, unmanned systems, and aviation cybersecurity. Signed at a ceremony in Egg Harbor Township attended by Rep. Jeff Van Drew, the partnership will leverage NARTP’s proximity to the FAA William J. Hughes Center for Advanced Aerospace and the Atlantic City International Airport, a federally designated smart airport testbed. Officials said the consortium will serve as both a research hub and an economic engine, creating high-quality jobs and strengthening New Jersey’s role as a leader in aerospace innovation.
